  Really pretty museum with a lot of information on the history of Bucharest and Romania. We as foreigners learned quite a lot about the city and country which really made us appreciate our journey so much more. The bottom section of the museum is very modern and clean, the top part is a bit dusty but offers a great selection as well. So don't let this discourage you. Most (95%) of the displayed items have English explanations, so even for non-Romanians it's worth a visit, of not only for the fabulous architecture of the building itself.

  Museum of the city of Bucharest is a beauty in itself. Temporary collections are small but every time I come here I find something special, something that fits my current projects and mood. Permanent collection is worth visiting even if you been here before. They always change some things and add something new. For book lovers they always have some examples of medieval books and documents.
